The Meuse is a relatively hilly rural department with many wooded areas. There are few towns here, but there are some nice roads for motorcyclists and you will be immersed in the history of the First World War along this 250 km (4.5 hours) route.

1. Bar le Duc: In a preserved environment, installed on the banks of the Ornain, the City of the Dukes has inherited a remarkable architectural heritage of Renaissance style.
2. Butte de Montsec : The Butte de Montsec is an isolated hill which offers a magnificent panorama over the Madine lake and the Côtes de Meuse. The monument, built in 1930, commemorates the offensives led by the American army from 12 to 14 September 1918 and from 9 to 11 November 1918.
3. Douaumont: This huge site includes many monuments and relics of the First World War such as the ossuary, the fort and the destroyed village. Don't hesitate to walk or ride your motorbike through this unique and moving historical complex.
