Lake tour


Straddling the Tarn and the Hérault, this 260 km (5.5 hours) ride in the Parc du Haut Languedoc will take you through some of the region's beautiful lakes and villages.



There are 4 tourist stops on this route. You are free to stay for a few minutes or a few hours.

1. Olargues: Between the Midi and the Massif Central, Olargues' heart sways. The village is both! In its landscapes, chestnut and cherry trees rub shoulders with vineyards and olive trees. At the foot of the Caroux mountain, the ancient fortified town is as attractive for its cobbled streets and covered passages as for its location, which is ideal for outdoor activities.



2. Gorges d’Héric: In the heart of the Caroux massif, a listed natural site, much appreciated by climbers and hikers, the Héric gorges are one of the most emblematic places in the region. The torrent rushes down the mountain from rocks to waterfalls, inviting you to swim. A discovery trail, running along the gorges for 5 km, allows you to learn about the fauna and flora.



3. Saint-Ferréol: Need to recharge your batteries? Then make a diversion to the magnificent bastide town of Revel, its 14th century market hall and the grandiose lake of Saint-Ferréol, nestled in the heart of the Montagne Noire!



4.  Mazamet:  In the heart of the Occitanie region, at the crossroads of the roads between Albi, Carcassonne and Toulouse, immerse yourself in a green and fresh setting at the foot of the Montagne Noire.
