Grands Causses Park

This 250 km (4.5 hours) circuit allows you to explore the Grands Causses Regional Nature Park, with a fairly wide variety of landscapes. This ride is primarily a nature ride and, apart from Saint-Affrique, there are no major towns on the route. Think about your refuelling and food supplies...

There are 3 tourist stops on this route. You are free to stay for a few minutes or a few hours.

  1. La Couvertoirade
  2. Brousse le Château
  3. Baumes waterfall

1. La Couvertoirade:  this small village tells several stories: that of the Templars who built the castle, that of the Hospitallers who built the ramparts and then that of the economic apogee with its beautiful 17th century residences

2. Brousse le Château:  at the confluence of the Tarn and the Alrance, the towers of a medieval castle dominate the village of Brousse, to which it gave its name. An old gothic bridge spans the Alrance to lead to the paved streets and the 15th century fortified church

3. Baumes waterfall: emblem of the village, this 18 meters high waterfall falls into the emerald waters of the river Tarn
