The Vermeille Coast is the meeting of two giants, the Mediterranean and the Pyrenees. When the latter fall into the sea, they form coves that you can discover along this superb 230 km (5 hours) route.

1. The Paulilles: located in a bay on the Mediterranean Sea, this beautiful site has a beach, walking paths and an old dynamite factory
2. Collioure castle: plunged into the sea and ideally located in the town centre, it is one of the small wonders of Collioure, due to its history, its beauty and its imposing aspect
3. Palace of the Kings of Majorca: located in the heart of Perpignan, which it dominates from a high promontory, this superb 13th century palace was for nearly a century the centre of the short-lived kingdom of Majorca
4. Salses fortress: this fortress guarded the old border between Catalonia and France opposite the French fortress of Leucate, now destroyed
